Location: DMV Area (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia)
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and data analysis. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities to drive informed decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance and accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Strong experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related field.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, or other financial software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
