Hospitalist NP/PA

The Hospitalist NP/PA will be responsible for caring for patients in the hospital setting, maintaining accurate and current patient records. They work closely with a hospitalist and a team of nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and deliver high quality care to each and every patient.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyzes test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options
- Maintains current knowledge of clinical practice
- Admits patients to the hospital and performing comprehensive physical examinations
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests (e.g., blood work, x-rays)
- Develops and implements treatment plans
- Prescribes medications and monitors their effectiveness
- Educates patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options
- Performs procedures as needed (within their scope of practice)
- Collaborates with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Discharges patients and plans for their follow-up care
- Documents medical records accurately and thoroughly
Education: Master's degree as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Certifications: Basic Life Support (CPR) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Preferred.
