Job Summary:

As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support various data integration, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Data Management: Develop and manage data architectures, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes, ensuring data availability and reliability.
  • ETL Processes: Create and optimize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ingest and process large datasets from multiple sources.
  • Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize database and query performance to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, architectures, and systems.
  • Security: Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering to recommend and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with machine learning pipelines and model deployment.
