Our Talent Development team is looking for a Tax and Assurance Learning Leader with a background in strategic thinking, instructional design, project management and implementation of innovative learning tools to design key technical training programs.
The Tax and Assurance Learning Leader will have the opportunity to work hybrid from any of our office locations or remotely from within the United States.
The Tax and Assurance Learning Leader will be responsible for fostering a culture of learning and development within the service lines and building strong relationships with stakeholders. In this role, you will partner with subject matter experts to design, develop, and build interactive and innovative learning solutions that meet business needs. Working closely with subject matter experts, you will build and maintain influential relationships by being a strong business partner with colleagues throughout the firm.
As a Tax and Assurance Learning Leader, you will:
- Work closely with service line leadership to understand strategic objectives and align learning events to those goals.
- Act in a consultative way to provide guidance and support to service line leadership on learning and development matters.
- Conduct needs analyses to design learning that meet specific learning objectives and accreditation standards.
- Recommend appropriate instructional approaches and methods based on audience and logistics
- Implement and maintain instructional design standards, update visual elements, and explore options to improve interactivity of learning experiences that promote learning transfer
- Act with integrity and communicate effectively with SMEs to ensure all products providing CPE credits meet NASBA design standards and reporting for compliance and accreditation purposes
- Maintain well-organized project documentation and folders with all course assets
- Collaborate with peers on the learning team and stakeholders to introduce innovation into the team’s courseware and overall services
- Research and implement new delivery technologies that improve learner experience and effectiveness
- Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with stakeholders to provide quality seamless client service
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collect and analyze data on learning outcomes to demonstrate the impact of learning solutions on the organization.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in learning and development, preferably in the tax and assurance industry.
- Applied knowledge of instructional design methodology and adult learning theory including ADDIE
- Knowledge of tax and assurance industry trends and best practices.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization and key stakeholders
- Previous experience as a performance manager and leading and developing teams preferred
- Experience in MS Office products
- Proficiency in a variety of learning technologies including Camtasia, SnagIt, Articulate 360, Vyond and Conferences i/o
- Strong experience with use of Learning Management Systems and Virtual Classroom tools
- Facilitation experience
- CPA license preferred and adheres to the educational requirements of the AICPA, the state boards of accountancy, the U.S. General Accounting Office and other regulatory agencies as applicable (including the SEC and PCAOB)

The salary range for this position is $99,750 to $184,100. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
