This role is based in Northern VA.

Deltek Costpoint experience is required.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 5+ across the different accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Ledger
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
  • Coordinating activities of external auditors
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance and assist with audits including DCAA, Annual Financial Statements
