Am I A Good Fit?

As a DSP you will work with adults enrolled in Employment and Community First CHOICES (ECF CHOICES) with Health Connect America. You will assist our individuals in peer interactions, social skills, money management skills, and supporting individual independence. Your role will involve direct interaction with clients, implementing individualized support plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible care.  The goal is to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their communities to increase their maximum level of independence. 

What Will I Be Doing?

Review Individual Support Plans (or other treatment plans) to provide direct services to support individuals with development of:
  • Social Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Basic living skills (such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, taking meds) (NO personal care)
  • Behavioral skills (HCA is a NO RESTRAINT agency)
  • Skills necessary to participate in the community
  • Employment skills
  • Accessing transportation
  • Leisure skills
  • Resource linkage

Qualifications
  • Experience supporting individuals with special abilities personally/professionally: 1 year (preferred)
  • Minimum 18 years old (required)
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) (required)
  • Driver's license (required)
  • Reliable personal vehicle (required)
  • Work authorization (required)
