Key Responsibilities- Instructional Support: Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities and lessons, providing one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs or learning difficulties.
- Classroom Management: Monitor and support students in various school settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and lunchrooms, helping with classroom management and organization.
- Preparation and Resources: Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and resources, supporting students in developing social skills and positive behaviors.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions, working effectively as part of a team to achieve educational goals.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with an associate's degree or higher in education or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Certifications: Paraprofessional II Certificate from the New Hampshire Department of Education (required if you do not have an associate's degree or higher, or 48 college credits, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment), with CPR and First Aid Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
- Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Physical Demands: Ability to kneel, bend, and reach as necessary to assist students.
- Work Schedule: Full-time position during the school year, with hours varying based on school schedules and needs.
- Work Environment: Work primarily in a school setting, with occasional outdoor supervision.
