Your expertise shapes us:

Assist in the development and implementation of Hotel Equities’ corporate marketing, communications & public relations strategy. Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Must develop extreme familiarity with Hotel Equities’ brand voice, and that of its blended family of brands, to promote brand awareness and consistency with internal and external audiences.
  • Build relationships with and develop a good understanding of other departments.
  • Implements marketing and communications initiatives aligned with our marketing plan; contributes to preparing year-end marketing and communications plan and objectives.
  • Designs presentations, marketing collateral, advertisements, etc. that adheres to company brand standards and updates information as needed to ensure marketing materials are relevant and up to date with the latest data.
  • Maintains company website for accuracy and relevance.
  • Assists in managing Hotel Equities’ social media strategy i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Business listing, etc; makes recommendations for how to enhance strategy.
  • Uses media and communications to build, maintain and manage the reputation of our clients aligned with our public relations strategy.
  • Drafts press releases, as needed, adhering to Hotel Equities’ and/or hotel franchisee’s brand standards.
  • Collects and compiles content for bi-weekly companywide email communication (The Huddle) focused on culture related content.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize budgets vs. expenses to assist with managing department budget.
  • Manages promotional materials by coordinating requirements; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Supports field Sales staff by becoming familiar with brand marketing guidelines knowledge, new product information and market trends.
  • Manages and maintains contact distribution lists for key stakeholders, critical to maximizing marketing/communications efforts.
  • Research competitive tools and do routine product comparisons by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, pricing.
  • Assist Executive leadership team with administrative tasks such as calendar maintenance, meeting and travel planning, spreadsheet creation, research, organization, and client communication.
  • Event planning for conferences, corporate functions, meetings, tradeshows, etc. Attendance may be required at approximately 1-2x per quarter, travel may be required.
  • Some office management skills required as they are related to shipping, inventory, and helping manage the overall day-to-day happenings at the corporate headquarters.
  • Taking ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value or enhance processes and deliverables.

You Are:

  • Highly detail-oriented
  • previous marketing/communications experience (experience in a corporate setting is desired),
  • Graphic Design, Project Management, Understanding the Customer, Process Improvement, Takes Initiative, Strategic Planning, Financial Skills, Editing, Writing or Journalism/Public Relations experience is desirable,
  • Strong Communicator
  • Works well in both a team and individual setting.

  • Expert level user with Microsoft Products: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher & SharePoint, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Acrobat, Canva, Mainstream Social Media Platforms, Google Suite of products, Get Response or other email marketing software, Website CMS.

  • 2 or 4 yr. College degree graduate, or comparable experience.
