NELTS, Inc is a leading provider in Landscaping, Sweeping, & Snow Removal that is a privately owned and operated company based in North Franklin, CT. We strive to give our customers the best service and use only the highest quality products to deliver outstanding results.

We are searching for honest, skilled, and dedicated Snow Plow Drivers to join our dynamic team.

Snow Plow Drivers are responsible for working independently or with a team. Responsible for de-icing and clearing of snow from one or more sites, and shoveling of snow and/or ice as needed. We are looking for reliable and experienced plow truck drivers to service commercial retail store lots and shopping plazas. Must have experience and willing to work long hours.

This position is on call 24/7 during the winter season.

Your contribution will have a direct impact on our customer's experience by providing a safe, clean, and well-kept environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Always represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring current landscape and property is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow.
  • Maintain and care for your personal or company provided equipment & tools
  • Proficiently and safely use snow plow trucks & de-ice equipment.
  • Perform highly physical work outdoors on a consistent basis in all weather conditions, specifically very cold, icy, and snowy weather.
  • It is required all plow drivers wear cold weather gear to protect themselves against adverse weather conditions. The company may supply uniforms.
  • Work as part of a team and take direction.
  • Understand and meet scheduled deadlines without sacrificing great customer service or excellent quality
  • Keep accurate timesheet records, by punching in/out using our app
  • Complete pre and post Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) via app
  • Attend training classes and seminars as requested by management.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned/instructed by management, such as but not limited to, staking, refilling salt supplies, cleaning vehicles, reporting damages, and other concerns

  • Available to work 24/7, including holidays and weekends during snow storms.
  • Must have a cell phone that can be reached 24/7 and ability to download & use our apps to track work, time, and proof-of-service photos.
  • Previous snow removal experience with commercial facilities (retail stores, banks, plazas, etc.)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR and current auto insurance coverage. This is required whether you use your own vehicle/equipment or the Company’s
  • Proficiently and safely use snow plow trucks with blades, other power, and manually operated tools and equipment used to perform snow removal
  • Maintain and care for your personal or company provided equipment, tools and vehicles.
  • Safely and appropriately distribute de-icing solutions, including calcium chloride or rock salt.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, flexible and detailed oriented
  • Must be professional in appearance and actions.
  • Great time management skills; available for seasonal long hours, a clear schedule to work all hours of the day, any day of the week and a strong work ethic. This position will require, although rare, potential holiday work.
  • This is a weather dependent position with no guaranteed hours.
  • Punctual and dependable with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge and skill levels

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands require constantly moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • Frequently required to stand and walk, lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds solo or 100+ pounds with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Constantly required to communicate with ability to talk and hear.
  • Job will require constantly working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and exposure to elements.
  • This can include heavy to moderate noise, extreme proximity to moving equipment or machinery, proximity to electrical energy, exposure to tools and machines used in construction industries.
