Position Summary

The Operations Lead is responsible for the essential functions that keep their specific department running. They will oversee the overall quality and performance of their assigned area. The Operations Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth production operations, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating the team.

Schedule: 3rd Shift (9:00 PM - 5:30 AM, Sunday to Thursday)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Loading HPP torpedoes.
  • Unloading HPP torpedoes.
  • Standing Bottles up on conveyors.
  • Running the Jet Coder to date bottles, packaging etc.
  • Making/pre-building boxes.
  • Bringing in fiber/packaging materials for the lines.
  • General labor related to the Bottling, HPP, Packaging and Pack Out process.
  • General labor related to shipping/pack-out/receiving/inventory, etc.
  • Building pallets, lifting, moving/stacking cases up to 50 lbs.
  • Assisting with pre-shifts/stretches/passdowns.
  • Making sure carriers are full to help conserve water.
  • Complete monthly safety tailgates.
  • Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Documentation:

  • Ensure operators complete HPP forms accurately.
  • Accurately update and track Pack Out spreadsheet.

Job Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred and experience with NetSuite. Additionally, 2+ years of forklift experience and CPG industry experience are a plus.

Knowledge: Computer knowledge, and proficiency in using training software and learning management systems (LMS).

Language Skills: Ability to communicate, read, listen, and understand English. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Other Abilities:

  • Ability to assess training needs and develop relevant content.
  • Ability to work well under time constraints and prioritize work to meet commitments/deadlines.
  • Ability to work cross-functional with other departments.
  • Must be able to work independently with moderate supervision.

Working and Environmental Conditions

Working in a warehouse setting, in a cold environment with temperatures below 40&degree;F. Work areas may be loud and confined spaces. Will require continuous exposure to noisy environments >85 dBa. Adherence to safety protocols and wearing of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes. Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Use of Forklifts and pallet Jacks. May require need to complete forklift certification program and maintain certification. Adherence to strict safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation to prevent accidents and injuries.

Physical Demands
Light computer use. Ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 50lbs with continuous motion. Occasional exposure to moving machinery. Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs or ladders as needed. Physical agility to navigate manufacturing equipment and facilities including repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, and twisting. Ability to work at heights when needed.

Basic knowledge of forklift maintenance and the ability to conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition. Ability to load and unload materials, products, and pallets with precision and care.
