Smart Components Product Manager Responsibilities:

The Smart Component Product Manager oversees sales, promotion, and support for their assigned business unit's Product Technology. These products include motor control devices (such as contactors, starters, soft starts, and overload devices), logic devices (like pushbuttons and limit switches), and sensor and safety products. They collaborate with Rockwell Automation and EECO sales teams, including Key Account Managers, Specialists, and other stakeholders. Key areas of focus include:

  1. Market Maker:
  • Define market opportunities for products, services, and solutions.
  • Prioritize target opportunities to meet performance goals.
  • Execute impactful sales engagements.
  • Address growth and strategic goals.

Lead or Follow:

  • Provide presales support to internal and external customers.
  • Offer technical leadership in product technology.
  • Develop demonstration scenarios and enhance effectiveness.

Educator:

  • Proactively educate customers on product, service, and solution impact.
  • Deliver timely training and updates.
  • Manage product lifecycle and safety notifications.

Marketing:

  • Strategically promote products to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate with Marketing for product launches.
