As a Small Tools and Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engine equipment, including but not limited to welding machines, generators, light towers, and air compressors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small engine equipment.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements.

• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.

• Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent future issues.

• Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.

• Keep accurate records of all service and repair activities.

• Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance needs.

• Provide cost estimates for repairs and submit them to customers for approval.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in small engine repair is a plus.

• Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke engines.

• Familiarity with various small engine equipment brands and models.
