Position Summary:

The cook prepares and cooks various dishes to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Working under the guidance of the manager on duty, the cook uses culinary skills and creativity to execute recipes with precision while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and cleanliness. From managing assigned stations to collaborating with fellow kitchen staff, dedication to teamwork, attention to detail, and passion for food will contribute to the restaurant's success.

Qualifications:

  1. Culinary Experience: Previous experience working as a cook or line cook in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred.
  2. Culinary Skills: Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques, including grilling, sauting, frying, and knife skills.
  3. Team Player: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Adaptability: Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and demands during busy service periods.
  5. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
  6. Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding food safety and sanitation principles, focusing on proper food handling and storage practices.
  7. Passion for Food: Genuine passion for cooking and food, with a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
  8. Flexibility: The willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's demands.

Physical Demands:

  1. Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  2. Ability to bend at the waist.
  3. Ability to kneel, squat, twist, and reach above shoulder.
  4. Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes, up to 25 lbs.
  5. Ability to push/pull 10-25 lbs.
  6. Ability to perform cleaning functions, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
