WEDDING OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Sweet Treets Bakery is a local custom bakery focused on delighting our customers with artisanal, beautiful, and high-quality cake and desserts with a main focus of the business being custom decorated cakes, prestige custom wedding cakes, and other "treets". We are a 10+ year-old business always looking for new ways to bring people joy. To do this, we need a best-in-the-business team We are located in Oak Hill @ 6705 W HWY 290, Austin, TX.

We are looking for a Wedding Operations Coordinator that can work hand in hand with our Wedding Operations Lead and Bakery Director on bringing the best customer service and cake knowledge to our clients. The ideal person would love details and all things weddings/special occasions and bringing something special to someone's big or small day


Qualified Candidates will:

-have two or more years in sales.

-Wedding, catering, or event experience preferred. Any experience in Cake Decorating is a plus

-possess a high level of communication and organization skills

-have a positive, coachable attitude and willingness to learn

-be excellent at cultivating relationships with other industry professionals

-be in the shop 5 days a week for assisting in wedding operations and bridal consults. Typical schedule starts anywhere from 9:30am-10am and ends 4:30-5:00pm

-assist with front of house phone coverage

-provide outstanding customer service; ensure customer inquiries are answered in timely fashion

-respond to incoming inquiries within a 24-48 hour time period

-be extremely detail oriented and a strong multitasker

-be self-motivated

-Guide clients through the specialty and wedding cake/dessert selection process, including cake design, flavor selections, serving sizes, cake/treat presentation, proposals, and follow ups


Specific duties include, but not limited to:

-Manage daily correspondence with current & prospective clients via email, phone & in person

-Collecting deposits and payments, confirming appointments, confirming contracts, and managing customer profiles

-Draft proposals including sample or customized menus for prospective clients

-Keeping up with industry trends and researching unique requests as needed

-Maintaining knowledge of area venues and their individual needs

-Assisting bakers, cake decorators, and clients with orders, event timelines and/or layouts, including advising on best practices

-Review orders prior to events to catch any mistakes and confirm details

-Communicate effectively with production team to ensure events details are correct and that all needed supplies have been ordered

-Attend select industry and networking events, open houses, or trade shows as assigned

-Foster positive relationships with entire Sweet Treets team and other industry professionals

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $20.00 - $22.00/hour.
