Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review existing risk assessments to identify additional potential risks across various areas, including financial, operational, regulatory, and strategic risks.
  • Develop and maintain risk and control libraries within the enterprise risk management platform, linking all identified risks and associated mitigation plans to business areas across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with different departments to identify and implement mitigating controls into the risk assessment.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented controls and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure that all risk management activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and adjust risk assessment risks and controls accordingly.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of risk management frameworks, policies, procedures, and job aids.
  • Conduct risk management training sessions for staff to promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.
  • Document and report Issues Management findings to management and recommend preventive measures.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management, outlining key findings and recommendations.


Requirements:

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks.
  • Project management skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience

  • Proven experience (2-5 years) in risk analysis, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools (e.g., nContracts).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in risk management.
