Job Description:

We are looking for an Sr. Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of landscape maintenance services for Commercial properties in the Charleston, SC area.

The company recently promoted the previous Operations Manager which is why this position is available.

As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing all of the production from 9 maintenance crews and two Enhancement crews ensuring the delivery of excellent client services, developing employees, driving quality and supporting the Account Manager and GM.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial

  • Establishes labor and material budgets
  • Review budget to actual labor and material report
  • Manages all purchases for enhancements
  • Understands and reviews the P&L
  • Allocates necessary resources to complete upcoming jobs

Client Management

  • Day to day client contact
  • Meets with clients to establish Maintenance & Enhancement projects
  • Ensures crew has the necessary tools and materials to maintain quality standards in line with client expectations
  • Stays informed about each client's specific quality standards and ensures those standards are communicated and upheld by the crew
  • Work with AM & BD to generate Enhancement proposals

Operational Functions

  • Day to Day crew member interaction/communication
  • Dispatch crews & handle daily/weekly schedules
  • Maintains yard & shop
  • Responsible for Equipment Repair and Maintenance

Employee Management

  • Implements recruiting program and hires field employees
  • Performs supervisory training for key employees
  • Evaluates crew leaders through performance expectations
  • Makes wage and compensation recommendations for crew members
  • Coordinates and communicates concerns between field and office

Safety Management

  • Chooses topics and implements all Safety Meetings, and fills out Report of Safety Meeting
  • Participates in New Hire Training
