Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and motivate facilities technicians, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the department.

Maintenance and Repair:

  • Oversee the preventive maintenance program for all hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems, performing repairs or coordinating with outside contractors as needed.
  • Manage and prioritize work orders to address guest and staff requests efficiently.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures within the engineering department.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and safety inspections.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and external vendors to resolve issues and address concerns.
  • Prepare reports on department activities and performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a hotel engineering department.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and motivating a team.
  • Strong understanding of hotel engineering systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors.
