Summary
The Sales Porter Position supports the sales function by pulling cars from inventory, transporting customers and maintaining show-room ready inventory. The Sales Porter is responsible for moving the units throughout the sales process from customer demonstration to make-ready and through delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the sales process with vehicle movement and placement.
- Ensure all vehicles are clean and in good repair on the lot and in the showroom.
- Move vehicles to and from designated areas including on the lot, the storage area and from one dealership to another.
- Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, free from debris and according to dealership display standards.
- Inspect incoming vehicles to detect damage and to verify the accessories listed on the invoice.
- Catalog and store vehicle manuals and keys.
- Prepare the vehicles daily for demo including wash, rinse, lock, unlock.
- Maintain the vehicle window stickers ensuring proper placement and display.
- Assist in delivering the vehicle by making it fully ready to demonstrate including set radio, clock, compass, fuel economy readings and apply Mac Haik decals.
- Fill fuel tank to designated levels.
- Transport customers and other dealership personnel.
- Assist with physical inventory of units.
- Maintain positive customer interactions to build and maintain loyalty.
- Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
- Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Foundation Automotive brand.
- Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening
- Authorization to work in the USA
