Keller Estate Winery is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic team. As an Irrigation Technician, youll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our vineyard irrigation systems. Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate directly with the Ranch Operations Manager.
  • Execute grounds maintenance tasks, construction projects, and major irrigation-related initiatives.
  • Ensure reliable attendance and perform essential functions satisfactorily.
  • Adapt to assigned duties and responsibilities as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Irrigation Excellence:
    • Maintain and optimize irrigation systems.
    • Ensure proper water distribution to vineyards.
    • Contribute to grapevine health and productivity.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate with supervisors.
    • Train and guide coworkers on project tasks.
    • Prioritize safety and efficiency for all team members.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Heavy equipment operations.
  • Strong irrigation knowledge.
  • Basic construction skills.
  • Pipe class and valve identification
  • Prior irrigation experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Comfort with basic mathematics.
  • Understanding of landscape water management.
  • Operate and maintain ground equipment.
  • Apply practical problem-solving skills.
  • Adapt to standardized situations.


Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (through grade 12) or relevant in-field job experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of grounds irrigation care and maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electricity and hydraulics related to irrigation systems.
  • Prior experience in construction and irrigation.

Certificates and Licenses:
  • Valid California Drivers License (DMV print-out may be required).

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly: Stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently: Lift and move more than 75 lbs.
  • Occasionally: Sit.
  • Vision: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment:
  • Regularly work outdoors in all weather conditions (hilly or flat ground).
  • Frequent collaboration with crew members.
  • Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, heights, fumes, chemicals, outside weather, and vibration.
  • Noise level: Moderate to occasionally loud.
