Quality Intern

A summer internship at Technimark West Virginia allows students to explore their future while doing impactful work. Our structured intern program is designed to challenge and reward students. It provides on the job experience, while also assisting in professional development with networking sessions and exposure to business leaders. Experienced managers mentor intern contributions and development during their assignments. We are seeking intelligent and driven students, who are eager to accelerate their career and make the most of a summer intern program. Interns will gain broad exposure to varied areas of our business related to their field of study.

Job Summary:
Participate as needed on projects for the West Virginia manufacturing team. Lead a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt level project & present project summary to the Executive Leadership team. Assist with Quality, Tooling, Operations, Automation, and Development activities.

Knowledge | Experience | Skills:

High school diploma or GED. Must be enrolled and taking classes in Engineering. Yellow or Green belt Lean Six Sigma training preferred. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Moderate computer experience in JMP and Microsoft Office Suite.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead project-specific continuous improvement meetings utilizing LSS tools.
  • Assist in and gather data on production floor activities.
  • Assist in the analytics of manufacturing data.
  • Develop work instructions & standard work documents for machine operators.
  • Identify areas for improvement for work cell operations.
  • Report any unsafe situations to Supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently, follow work instructions & work well in a team environment.
  • Must be punctual and dependable.
  • Identify problems and find ways to resolve them.
  • Ability to use tools and/or operate equipment.
