Summary

The Multi-Axis CNC Programmer works within the CNC function of CET's Production Department. This position reports to the CNC Coordinator and Lead Programmer and their primary function is to use MasterCAM to program large format 5 axis CNC machine, lathe and provide support to the 3 axis machines.

Additional Details

This full-time office position works a typical schedule of 7 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday with some longer hours or weekend work when needed.

  1. Program large format 5 Axis CNC files using MasterCam.
  2. Engineers, programs, designs/builds fixtures, determines speeds and feeds
  3. Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  4. Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
  5. Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
  7. Set-up complex jobs and may run production parts.
  8. Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with designs.
  9. Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs.
  10. Adhere to required standards established to maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
