What are the primary responsibilities in the Sr. DSP and Software Systems Engineer position?

Under minimal supervision, this individual will analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents and high level system architectures to develop system requirements. The individual will advise alternative approaches, conduct feasibility studies and provide technical leadership to the small project teams that design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software-based solutions for modern communications systems. The right candidate will be expected to demonstrate dedication, discipline, integrity, and team play leading to solutions that are well-structured and documented. This position will allow for direct interaction with end users and customers.

What required background will make you successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or other equivalent field of discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in practical system design, development and deployment
  • Demonstrated capability in scientific programming with C, C++, or similar high-level language on UNIX/Linux
  • Exceptional applied mathematics ability reflected in a background in geolocation or signal processing
  • Strong background in DSP or Digital Communications theory
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Preferred skills:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Computer Science or equivalent field of discipline
  • X-Midas or MATLAB experience
  • Experience with model-based system engineering approaches and tools
  • Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance with full scope poly

Applicable Background:

  • Satellite communications
  • Cellular communications systems
  • Physics or Applied mathematics

Where is the position located?

This position is located in Annapolis Junction, MD, or Tucson, AZ
