Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst - Business Development at Augmentjobs plays a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making and enhancing business development initiatives. This position involves analyzing financial data, evaluating business opportunities, and providing insights that drive growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, business strategy, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Analysis & Reporting:

    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate business development opportunities, including market analysis, financial modeling, and profitability assessments.

    • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations.

  2. Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborate with business development teams to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's growth objectives.

    • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement.

  3. Project Management:

    • Lead or support financial aspects of business development projects, ensuring that initiatives are executed efficiently and within budget.

    • Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

  4. Budgeting & Forecasting:

    • Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts and budgets for business development activities.

    • Analyze variances between actual performance and budgeted figures, and provide actionable recommendations for corrective actions.

  5. Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, and operations, to support business development efforts and achieve strategic goals.

    • Communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders.

  6. Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and systems related to business development.

    • Implement best practices and streamline workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience in financial analysis, business development, or a related role, with a proven track record of success.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and budgeting.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to various audiences.

  • Project Management: Experience managing projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software, ERP systems).

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business development strategies and market dynamics.
