The Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for overseeing the Sales and Marketing functions for the Senior Living Division with the focus of driving occupancy and growing revenue through relationship-based sales coaching and support. The Director will develop Sales and Marketing processes and metrics, analyze lead generation strategies, provide 1-on-1 coaching to community-level sales teams, and review and create Sales and Marketing budgets in order to create a sales-centric company culture. This position will also provide direct coaching as well as on-site and virtual support to the company's community-level teams.


Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and Drive Company initiatives and community-level activity to achieve or exceed Budgeted Occupancy thresholds at each community
  • Create, update, and manage, in collaboration with community staff, 30/60/90 day marketing and events plans
  • Create, update, and manage, in collaboration with community staff, Professional Referral Source Contacts
  • Develop Monthly Outreach Plans, expectations, and strategies for individual communities
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and support for community-level team members
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators for all areas of Sales and Marketing, including:
    • Lead Generation
    • Lead Activities
    • Face-to-Face/Ear-to-Ear interactions
    • Closing ratios
  • Manage vendor relationships and deliverables, including:
    • Determine Return on Investment
    • Assess and evaluate service-level responsiveness
    • In conjunction with the Vice President of Senior Living, negotiate and execute contracts
  • Establish, validate, and submit for occupancy-based and move-in bonuses for community staff
  • Maintain and organize all pricing, floor plans, promotions, and specials
  • Be familiar with market conditions, competition, and opportunities for competitive advantages
  • Train and coach community staff on all Sales and Marketing systems, processes, and techniques
  • Compile, analyze and create action items from data points and reports
  • Advise on areas for future growth and development of the Company

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred or equivalent experience preferred but not required
  • Previous senior living or sales experience preferred
  • A passion for seniors and for changing lives
  • Ability to build connections and form relationships
  • Team player who can integrate into and support a team
  • Self-driver who is goal-oriented and self-directed
  • Experience managing people and coaching teams strongly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate across departmental lines
  • Ability to conduct one-on-one conversations with direct reports, outside partners, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work flexible hours
  • Some travel required, with occasional overnight stays
