Job Summary:
Interns will participate as needed in multiple projects for the tool room and support its primary role of maintaining and repairing all molds for plants 3 & 5. The intern will work within the team on multiple tasks including working on the creating a more efficient cataloging and inventory storage process for the tool room and helping to establish a more systematic approach to document storage of physical tooling and engineering documents. Additional work may include:
• Manage shipping/receiving of damages/repaired tooling while tracking and documenting communications with the tooling vendors.

Knowledge | Experience | Skills:

Currently a student at a 2 or 4-year university pursuing a degree in an associated field including engineering, applied science, design/drafting, etc. Candidates need to have solid communication and interpersonal skills. Moderate computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint). Blueprint reading is a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in and gather data on tooling projects.
• Hands on work to repair various molds and mold components.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Must be able to manage time efficiently, follow work instructions & work well in a team environment.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Identify problems and find ways to resolve them.
• Ability to use hand tools (manual/power).
