Who you are

As the Controller, you assume a pivotal role in managing the financial operations and ensuring fiscal accountability within OnMed. Leveraging your expertise in accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis, you oversee the accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions. Your responsibilities encompass various aspects of financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. You take the lead in developing and implementing robust internal controls, safeguarding company assets, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards. Additionally, you play a crucial role in budgeting processes, forecasting, and providing strategic insights to support informed decision-making by senior leadership. Your exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex financial data effectively are invaluable assets to the organization. Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares schedules and manages General Ledger activity for monthly and year end GAAP audit and tax compliance.
  • Complete account reconciliations in accordance with corporate schedule and policy. Complete and support schedules provided for annual audit.
  • Manages cash flow requirements via daily cash receipt and disbursement analysis.
  • Monitors Accounts Receivable and coordinates proactive collection efforts.
  • Manages daily banking activity.
  • Oversees the safeguard of all corporate assets.
  • Oversee the accounting policies of the organization and monitoring of the policies
  • Prepares, reviews, and analyzes Company financial statements including all revenue, expense, and balance sheet detail, and reports to senior management, equity owners, and lenders.
  • Directs and prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly analysis and control reports for all areas of operations.
  • Maintains job costing function (inclusive of both digital and tangible assets) and other financial and administrative systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and cost control.
  • Acts as Company auditor to ensure compliance with internal controls and FASB accounting policies.
  • Sets up and maintains vendors or suppliers in the accounting systems and obtains W9 forms as appropriate
  • Coordinates efforts of advisors concerning annual GAAP audits and tax compliance.
  • Directs and performs monthly review of actual results versus budget and prior periods identifying trends and cost concerns. Partner with management to develop and initiate corrective actions, process improvements, and cost control measures.
  • Team Leadership to include development, performance management, development and engagement.
  • Maintains company's chart of accounts
  • Oversees the consolidation of financial statements of separate entities
  • Reconciles and adjusts bank accounts to manage cash flow.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
  • Oversees regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Financial Officer at their discretion from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Solid communication, technology, analytical, and management skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of GAAP.
  • Proven payroll experience, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Must be able to thrive in a changing environment. The Company is growing and changing at a rapid rate, and business can be unpredictable. Because of this, your day-to-day responsibilities—including job duties, job title, reporting structures, compensation, working hours, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment – may evolve in tandem and over time.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Five+ years’ experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager/director.
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entitles under different legal umbrellas.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Exemplary history of financial project management.
  • CPA Preferred.
