What you’ll do
The Maintenance Technician will assist in maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Community Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform routine safety checks of door lock systems, water temperatures, etc. as directed and in accordance with established procedures.
- Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident homes, clubhouse/common areas, offices etc.
- Perform occasional maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, removing snow and salting, etc., as necessary/directed.
- Clean floors, to include sweeping, dust mopping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing disinfecting, etc. (NOTE: Assure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties and removed/stored in a timely fashion after floor is dry.) Provide occasional backup support for housekeeping.
- Clean and sanitize vacant homes/apartments as assigned.
- Set up and take down tables, chairs, equipment for indoor or outdoor functions as directed.
What it takes
- High school diploma
- Prior experience as a maintenance technician
- Must possess a valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license.
