ACES is a leading educational organization dedicated to providing quality education and support to students with special needs. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities. You will work closely with students, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to create and implement educational programs that meet each student's unique needs and goals. You will use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to address diverse learning styles and promote inclusion in the classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide direct instruction to students using evidence-based strategies and techniques
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement a cohesive instructional program
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Previous experience working with students with special needs
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special needs
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of students
