You will play an integral role in supporting our youth training and development coordinators, contributing to recruitment, organization, and mentorship activities. Responsibilities:

 

  1. Recruitment: Assist in the identification, outreach, and enrollment of youth participants for various leadership and training programs. Participate in community events, school visits, and social media campaigns to promote our programs and recruit potential participants.
  2. Organizational Support: Provide logistical support in coordinating and organizing training sessions, workshops, and events. This includes scheduling, preparing materials, setting up venues, and managing registrations and communications.
  3. Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to youth participants, providing guidance, support, and encouragement. Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where participants feel valued and empowered.
  4. Participant Engagement: Actively engage with youth participants, responding to their questions, concerns, or needs promptly and effectively. Encourage their participation, feedback, and involvement in the program.
  5. Program Development: Assist in the planning, development, and evaluation of youth training and development programs. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our programs, ensuring they meet the needs and interests of our youth participants.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with the youth training and development coordinators, other team members, and community partners. Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and dynamic team environment.

 

Qualifications:

 

  1. Experience in youth work, leadership development, education, or related field preferred.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire others.
  3. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  4. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Passion for youth development and leadership training.
  6. Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
  7. Ability to work flexibly, adapting to changing situations and needs.
  8. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a commitment to personal growth and learning.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This job operates in a professional office environment and at various event sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
