The Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for evaluating and repairing hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves. Preferred applicants will have previous experience working as a hydraulic mechanic in a repair shop environment. Consideration will also be given to those with auto mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

  • Tear down, inspect, and diagnose defects on hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
  • Re-building pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, to required standards.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting

  • Responsible for quality control of various activities

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3 + years of experience in automotive mechanics
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics, specifically conversion of fractions to decimals for measurement purposes
  • Experienced in operating hand, power and pneumatic tools
  • Experience in operating 5-ton overhead cranes
  • Experience in forklift operating

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and cylinder rebuilding.
  • Experience in open and closed loop hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics.


Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate (required)
  • College Diploma preferred.
  • MSHA 5023 preferred
