Shop Manager/Technician

We are looking for a Shop Manager/Technician. The Shop Manager/Technician manages daily operations and performs all technical duties. This position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices. The main purpose of the Service Manager/Technician is to plan and direct operations while still performing technical duties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform all technical duties.
  • Ensure repairs or other tasks are performed in a correct, cost effective and timely manner.
  • Monitor all facility conditions and make repairs and purchases (as needed).
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and practical experience through training, hands-on experience, and reading.
  • Have ability to address all issues and follow them through to resolution expediently.
  • Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities.
  • Improve operational systems, processes, and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and appearance in accordance with company policies and management directives.
  • Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the shop, personnel or customers.
  • Monitor productions KPI’s.
  • Prep vehicles for equipment install
  • Prep and install equipment
  • Test run equipment
  • Maintain inventory for equipment install
  • Maintain online records of vehicles completed

Requirements:

  • Previous Shop Management experience (preferred)
  • ASE Certified (preferred)
  • Mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnosis.
  • Has strong communication skills.
  • Possess solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Has strong time management skills.
  • Computer literate.
