- Develop and implement efficient paint shop processes, striving for continuous improvement in productivity and quality.
- Conduct thorough analysis of paint shop processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize paint shop workflow, ensuring timely delivery of finished products.
- Monitor and control paint shop parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and humidity, to ensure optimal product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to paint application, color matching, and coating defects.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure efficient supply chain management.
- Conduct regular inspections of paint shop equipment and tools, ensuring proper maintenance and adherence to safety regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience as a Paint Shop Process Engineer in an automotive industry
- Solid knowledge of paint shop processes, including surface preparation, painting, and curing techniques
- Proficiency with paint shop equipment, such as spray guns, robots, and ovens.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve process issues
- Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma and statistical process control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products
- Analytical problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within team environment
- German language skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
