Title: Oracle Financials Cloud Conversion Lead
Location: Hybrid/Remote
Duration: 6+ months

Overview:
The client is seeking an experienced functional/technical conversion lead for our Oracle Financials Cloud (OFC) implementation, in partnership with an implementer. This role requires outstanding communication skills to lead functional and technical stakeholders and facilitate rapid development team meetings to execute conversion deliverables. The desired candidate must possess extensive functional knowledge as well as technical skills to effectively craft user solutions and foster collaboration with stakeholder groups at different levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to define campus conversion strategy.
  • Lead and facilitate the work of existing cross-functional teams to execute key conversion deliverables, including:
    • Defining data requirements
    • Performing data cleansing
    • Executing data validation
    • Completing data reconciliation
    • Facilitating sign-off
  • Leverage experience to understand and troubleshoot conversion challenges and generate practical options/solutions to help functional teams complete deliverables.
  • Work with campus project management to develop and update conversion task plans and report to senior project stakeholders as needed.
  • Serve as UCSB's primary point of contact for functional, technical, and implementation partner team resources.
  • Work closely with implementation partners for cutover planning, conversion cycle execution as per planned schedule, and tracking issues to closure.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership, verbal, and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels in the organization.
  • Solid virtual meeting organization and facilitation skills with distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting topics to groups of various sizes.
  • Extensive experience implementing OFC, particularly with the PGM module, and leading related data conversion efforts including data conversion strategy, data analysis, data mapping, data reconciliation, and finalization of deliverables.
  • Experience with data conversions in multiple implementations of Oracle Cloud Financials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for facilitating requirements discussions and driving teams to make informed decisions.
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor environment and the ability to lead teams across multiple vendors.

Preferred:

  • Proven knowledge and skills with Excel and Google collaboration applications.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
  • Prior experience working with higher education clients.
