The Lismore Hotel is a beautiful hotel with modern amenities located in the heart of downtown Eau Claire. Here you’ll find rooms with city views, event halls, the Informalist Restaurant, ECDC Coffee Shop, and Dive, our rooftop craft cocktail bar. We are also located just blocks away from some of Eau Claire’s biggest attractions like the Pablo Center, UW Eau Claire, and Phoenix Park.


The Informalist restaurant is hiring a Line Cook. This position is part-time and the pay rate is $15/hr. plus a portion of the tip pool.


This role will need an individual with flexible availability to ensure that hours of operation are covered:


Monday-Friday: 7am - 10am / 5pm - 11pm

Saturday-Sunday: 8am - 2pm / 5pm - 11pm

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to COVID-19 safety protocol measures in all food preparation areas and follow all food safety guidelines in the kitchen workstations
  • Handle simple cooking tasks such as brewing coffee or tea, preparing soups and reducing sauces, and assisting others in the kitchen when necessary
  • Read recipe measurements, meal charts, label instructions in English, and use the correct measuring tools
  • Maintain a clean, organized prep area and workstation at all times, and sanitize equipment after each shift or when we close
  • Wash, sort, prep, slice, and measure ingredients for recipes, using condiments, vegetables, and proteins, and mixing sauces for use in various meals

The Line Cook is a member of the Food & Beverage Team. S/he is responsible for:

  • Preparation of menu items (breakfast/lunch/dinner/banquets) for the hotel
  • Prepares food
  • Ensures consistent quality
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures and Food Safety procedures
  • This individual is required to be confident, detail-oriented, work well in a team environment, and enjoys serving customers in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
  • Available to work weekends and holidays, pitching in extra hours whenever needed
  • Able to read recipes, meal charts, and labels and understand directions in English
  • Experienced in the proper handling of kitchen equipment, sharp knives, and other kitchen tools
  • Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time, as well as lift 35 to 50 pounds, pull heavier items, and bend frequently
  • We’d like you to have some kitchen experience and associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent, but it’s not necessary

  • Prior experience as a cook in a restaurant, hotel, county club, or similar environment
