Special Education 504 Coordinator

Qualifications:
- Current Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsements
- Valid driver's license
- 5-7 years of work-related experience
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
Job Goals:
To coordinate and assist with various functions/responsibilities that fall under the Special Populations Department, including both Special Education and Section 504
Job Duties:
- Assists the Director of Special Populations in ensuing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to Section 504 and IDEA
- Manages and ensures effective, student 504 plan implementation and fidelity
- Assists building-level 504 chairpersons with 504 eligibility and plan decisions
- Manages all aspects of the 504 software program
- Assists the Director of Special Populations with the supervision of school psychologists, SLPs, facilitating teachers, itinerant, district-wide SPED staff, and building-level 504 coordinators
- Assists in coordinating professional development for SPED employees and building-level 504 coordinators
- Addresses parent, student, teacher, and administrator questions and needs and attends IEP/504 meetings as appropriate
- Assists in preparing all required state and federal reports
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
