Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and maintain facilities upkeep and repairs.
  • Responsible for daily Machine maintenance such as emptying chip carts and oil skimmers as well as monitor/check fluid levels on various machines.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks including but not limited to safety checklist and oil changes.
  • Use hand/power tools (e.g., hoists and cranes) to install new equipment and replace defective parts.
  • Operate equipment needed to perform job functions such as forklifts, scissors and high lifts, personnel carriers, cranes, hoists, and rigging.
  • Assist outside repair technicians.
  • Communicate with leadership, team members, and outside vendors to update condition(s) of equipment.
  • Receive, manage, and complete work order requests.
  • Troubleshoot machine mechanical problems, evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Understand and interpret mechanical drawings and prints.
  • Foster effective communication with machinists and provide assistance as needed.
  • Responsible for training other Maintenance Mechanics when needed.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and compliance with all company safety and environmental rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exemplify Kingsbury’s safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acts as a safety ambassador.
  • Assist with other Maintenance Mechanics in duties and responsibilities.
  • Attend all company required trainings and meetings. (ie safety and department meetings)
  • Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Experience: 2+ years relevant experience.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical Degree in Maintenance program or equivalent is preferred.
