Senior Contract Support Specialist-Procurement


JOB SUMMARY

Unison Systems is looking for a Senior Contract Support Specialist for our national telecommunications client. This Support Specialist assists in managing contracts with vendors, generation and analysis of Supplier Reports.This person will lead efforts to reduce costs, minimize risk and improve business conditions. They will partner with internal stakeholders to identify and define their requirements. Also, they will assist Sourcing Managers with processing Master Consulting agreements, Statement of Works and New Supplier Set ups.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts in our Indirect Procurement Category. Includes both Contract Labor and Software suppliers.
  • With minimum guidance from the Director, manages complex strategic sourcing activities, report generations using Advance excel skills. in procurement consisting of soliciting bids, analyzing supplier responses, and making recommendations on supplier awards.
  • Assists in managing monthly, quarterly reports consolidation and be able to analyze the data presented.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to formulate analytical efforts and to define business requirements for procurement projects.
  • Assists with supplier negotiations using competitive benchmarking and comparative analysis.
  • Researches and develops adequate sources of supply.
  • Evaluates the financial stability of potential suppliers.
  • Performs required business analysis including total cost of ownership.
  • Provides fact based recommendations based on competitive benchmarking and comparative analysis.
  • Collect and analyze resource data, identify trends, forecast, and provide additional insights using advanced analytical methods
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the data within the Indirect Procurement Category
  • Continuously seeks out cost savings opportunities and leads efforts to realize those savings.
  • Manages supplier performance, rate card updates, and works with indirect team members on miscellaneous activities.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of procurement or supply chain. Have actually worked within Procurement/Vendor Management group.
  • Strong knowledge on contract terms and conditions


Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Finance or equivalent proven experience.


  • Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
  • 3+ years of Indirect Procurement experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP Suite experience – Ariba, Fieldglass
