Lathe Operator

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Setup, Program and Run a CNC and a Manual Lathe

· Must be able to interpret blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications

· Ability to inspect work, troubleshoot and recommend optimal cutting tools

· Lathe experience required

· Monitor parts to ensure they are meeting dimensional and drawing tolerances

· Takes individual ownership for the Lathe in relation to troubleshooting error codes and regular maintenance items (oil, etc.); Total Preventative Maintenance

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Must have lathe experience

QUALITY:

· Ability to hold prints to tolerance and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of the parts

SAFETY:

· Adhere to all IFS HSE policies, utilize appropriate PPE, and actively participate in scheduled safety meetings

Qualifications:

· Manufacturing experience

· 5 plus years of machine experience

Experience:

· Lathe experience (Manual and CNC)

· Machining (other – mill, router, etc) experience a plus

Skills, training or special knowledge

· TPM, Six S
