Description

This position is responsible for setting up and running, and taking ownership for problem solving/error codes/machine maintenance standpoint, of the CNC Mazak Lathe. This position requires determining process, tools, and programming (Mazatrol and Inventor Cam). Additionally, this position will run the CNC Mill as a backup as needed. Mazak Quick Turn 250MSY

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Setup, Program and Run a CNC Mazak Lathe with live tooling & Manual Lathe Mazak Quick Turn 250MSY

· Program jobs in Mazatrol and Inventor Cam; or Master Cam with the ability to learn Inventor Cam

· Must be able to interpret blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications

· Ability to inspect work, troubleshoot and recommend optimal cutting tools

· MSY/Mazak experience required

· Monitor parts to ensure they are meeting dimensional and drawing tolerances

· Takes individual ownership for the CNC Mazak Lathe in relation to troubleshooting error codes and regular maintenance items (oil, etc.); Total Preventative Maintenance

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Must have programming experience

· Must have milling and lathe experience

QUALITY:

· Ability to hold prints to tolerance and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of the parts

TRAINING:

· Ability to train others on programming languages is a preferred

SAFETY:

· Adhere to all IFS HSE policies, utilize appropriate PPE, and actively participate in scheduled safety meetings

Qualifications:

· Must be able to program in Mazatrol and Inventor Cam (or Master Cam with the ability to learn Inventor Cam)

· LNS bar feeder experience

· 5 plus years of machine experience

· AUTOCAD experience

Experience:

· CNC Mazak lathe experience

· CNC mill experience a plus

Skills, training or special knowledge

· Programing experience

· Ability to document and train others in programming cam software
