Flowers Community Living is looking for a strong PCA or CNA to work with a man in Athens, Ga. This gentleman needs help with grooming, cleaning, transporting to appointments and community outings, feeding, and transferring.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing personal care and assisting with ADLs: This skill includes meal preparation, administering medication and housekeeping.
- Teaching independent living: This involves helping clients to develop the necessary skills for living alone or completing tasks on their own.
- Working with intellectual disabilities: For many clients, it can be valuable to have prior experience assisting those with developmental disabilities.
- Complete trainings to maintain competency for the job.
- Maintain client and community safety through appropriate application of CPI.
- Engage individuals in community integration, promote social interaction, and give instructional support.
- Develop rapport with the individuals where they feel comfortable and able to build a trusting relationship.
- Adhere to HIPPAA and agency policies.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to perform basic housekeeping duties, run errands, and prepare meals.
- Ability to pass background check
Pay: $16 with no experience and $17.25 with 2 to 3 years of experience working with someone who has severe challenging behaviors
