Job Description: Sales Representative

  • Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of post-college professional experience.
  • 1-3 years of sales or building products experience preferred but not required.

*SUMMARY OF DUTIES**

  • Presents and sells Decore-ative Specialties products to custom cabinet makers and related manufacturers in the wood working industry.
  • Responsible for managing and growing an established customer base while generating new sales from inactive accounts and new leads.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*

Develop and maintain close relationships with new and existing accounts by:

  • Meeting regularly with accounts to present new products
  • Following up with customers and leads to generate new opportunities
  • Advise customers on product offerings and industry trends
  • Resolve customer issues with manufacturing, if they occur
  • Train customers on ordering processes
  • Coordinate with other Decore-ative departments to ensure customer needs are met

COMPANY HISTORY

Decore-ative Specialties was founded in 1965 by Jack Lansford, Sr. The company started as a small custom cabinet door manufacturer serving cabinet makers in the southern CA market. Over the past 50 years, Decore-ative has grown to be the nation’s largest manufacturer of custom cabinet components with manufacturing facilities positioned to service customers throughout North America. Sales are made primarily to custom cabinet manufacturers through a direct sales force.
