LATG is seeking an On-Site Data Center Engineer based out of the New Orleans area for our data center hardware pre-sales and installations team. This engineer will be responsible for designing, installing and configuring data center hardware equipment at various business sites

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre-sales:

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team and clients to understand customer requirements, objectives, and pain points.
  • Design and present customized technical and MSP solutions that address customer challenges and align with their business goals.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical presentations to showcase the value of our solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance and technical support throughout the sales process, supporting technical questions and customer interests/concerns.
  • Conduct preliminary site visit with picture documentation
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure the feasibility and scalability of proposed solutions.
  • Identify any equipment to be decommissioned and develop plan
  • Prepare BOM and SOW for customer

Post -Sales:


  • Work with Project Lead and Pre-sale engineers to provide accurate solution to customer
  • Provide implementation, customization and integration of solution to customers
  • System staging
  • Systems acceptance testing
  • Communicate with project Lead on any SOW changes that are needed
  • Provide end user training if needed
  • Provide system final documentation to Project Lead and document to LATG ConnectWise records
  • Onboard new MSP customers
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customers solutions
  • Obtain Certifications assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in language to be supported.
  • Experience in troubleshooting in a technical environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Dell, HPE, Veeam and Nutanix hardware experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows server environments including four years of experience managing Active Directory
  • In-depth working knowledge and experience with VMware / vCenter / vSphere
  • General working knowledge and previous experience supporting and migrating Microsoft Office 365 data
  • In-depth working knowledge of Disaster Recovery tools such as Veeam, Zerto SRM, Cohesity and Rubrik
