We are committed to providing the highest quality engineered products, shortest lead times, world-class customer service and the best warranties in the industry This individual reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for planning and directing the work of production associates. This is a working lead, hands on manufacturing position. This position is at our injection molding facility. Machines create parts throughout the night. The lead actively oversees production, production staff, and participates in safety and quality initiatives.

We have a small team on 3rd shift and attendance is critical to success in this role.

Essential Functions

  • Working - lead position.
  • Plan and direct the work of associates based on production needs.
  • Participate in safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment. Focusing on incident and accident reduction through identification and recording of first aid, near misses, and behavior-based observations.
  • Ensure the quality of the product at all stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Ability to understand and monitor production schedules and required build rates.
  • Address potential bottlenecks and allocation of resources as necessary.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement throughout the department.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to production associates to ensure job requirements are met and performance is optimum.
  • Evaluate staffing needs and participate in the selection and training of new co-workers.
  • Responsible for daily recording of department operational indicators including production first pass yield, time charges, and out of stocks.
