The job requires the ability to install, maintain, and repair filling equipment, conveyors, labelers, and misc. packaging equipment. Maybe asked to assist with repairs to piping and pumps.
General Responsibilities:
  • Setup fill lines for production runs.
  • Clean and lubricate all parts of equipment (fillers, conveyors, sealers, erectors, etc.)
  • Works at an acceptable pace.
  • Demonstrates neat work practices.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
  • Listen for unusual sounds from equipment during operation to detect malfunctions. Diagnose issues and resolve to keep equipment running efficiently.
  • Dismantle defective equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Assist in training fellow employees to transfer skills.
Other Duties:
  • Keep work areas clean and neat.
  • Follow all Clients' safety policies.
  • Execution of activities as assigned.
  • Responsibilities involving food safety, when required.
Qualifications:
  • Basic Math, writing, and reading skills needed.
  • Must have at least 2 years of forklift experience.
  • Minimally lift 50 lbs. frequently during shift.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must be able to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Must be able to use judgment and analytical skills to determine appropriate solutions to maintenance situations.
