WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 


Our ideal Marketing Associate is an experienced wine professional with the skills to manage our online content on a part-time basis.  We have thousands of products live on our website every day and this role helps make sure everything is accurate and up to date.  Proximity to one of our store locations (SF, LA, or Redwood City) is preferred but not required for the right candidate.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Regularly update product page with the latest reviews and information from a variety of professional publications like Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator.
  • Keep an up-to-date knowledge of the retail wine and spirits marketplace, i.e. pricing, vintages, and important voices in the wine industry.
  • Create marketable product descriptions of current and past releases of wines and spirits from all relevant regions.
  • Review existing content to ensure it fits within existing parameters.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Working knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and vintages
  • Ability to write creatively, accurately, and quickly on a variety of wine-related subjects
  • Editor-quality attention to detail (formatting, grammar, spelling)
  • Ability to multi-task and complete work rapidly and accurately without direct supervision
  • Willingness to work part-time (approximately 20 hours per week)
  • Computer and internet access
  • California residency
