SUMMARY

The Line Cook will transform high-quality, unique ingredients into authentic dishes through preparing, cooking and plating food and dishes as directed by senior culinary staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare all menu items according to recipe requirements and adhere to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines.
  • Work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items.
  • Ensure the compliance of nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
  • Accommodate special requests and dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure ingredient freshness by checking for quality and keeping track of old and new items.
  • Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly.
  • Properly set up workstation with all ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Performs any other relevant duties as assigned by kitchen supervisor or MOD.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

This position must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to demonstrate they can perform the essential functions of the job, along with the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • 1+ years of experience

  • Proactive, organized, and methodical.
  • Dependable, with a strong work ethic, and efficient workstyle.
  • Openness to constructive feedback and being coached/mentored.
  • Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the restaurant.
  • Openness to being cross trained in multiple restaurant positions.
  • Per the Restaurant’s needs, you may be asked to perform other related duties.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Hold a current food handlers’ certification.
