In order to continually provide our members with the highest level of service, Affinity is seeking a results-oriented and service-focused individual to join our Indirect Dealer team for the Northern New Jersey region. The selected candidate will be responsible for the growth of the Credit Union’s Indirect Loan Portfolio through building and maintaining relationships with Auto Dealerships. Maintains contact with the dealers through regular visits and provides insight and training regarding the Credit Union’s product offering. Serves as the dealer’s point of contact and will follow up with dealers on any funding and lending issues. Responsible for maintaining a high standard of professionalism while working with Auto Dealerships on the Credit Union Indirect Lending Program.

Completes reports and maintains records necessary to track appropriate controls on the position. Will compile and analyze market reports surrounding indirect lending, business development programs and makes recommendations as appropriate.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Travel is required within the Market Area: Northern Jersey and NY
  • Assumes the responsibility for establishing and maintaining a business relationship with dealerships.
  • Introduces and recruit’s new dealerships in target market to the Affinity Indirect program.
  • Becomes a key contact for dealerships and the Indirect department.
  • Analyzes dealer relationships and leverages those relationships to increase/maintain market share.
  • Meet assigned goals for funded loans by generating business from new and existing dealer relationships.
  • Identify and communicate dealer’s needs to ensure quality service is provided.
  • Monitor competitor’s rates and program changes.
  • Identify and develop recommendations for marketing opportunities, loan pricing, dealer reserve structure, and credit policy guidelines.
  • Oversee performance metrics in many areas such as: application counts, approval percentages, and delinquency /charge off ratios.
  • Maintain an up‐to‐date tracking tool for visits, dealer volume and document any issues that may affect the relationship.
  • Documents sales calls, seminars, and other activities; document results and generate reports to management as required.
  • Keeps management informed of activities, progress toward established objectives, and of any significant problems.
  • Works with dealers and/or partners in dealer onboarding, reviewing new dealer packages, making recommendations for additions, and reviewing and maintaining records of annual documents.
  • Works with Indirect Operations Manager on first payment defaults, reviewing delinquency and losses.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve processes and consistently implement workflow efficiencies.
  • Supports organizational growth initiatives within new and existing markets.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities when required and works on teams and projects as assigned.
  • Participates in cross‐functional team to grow and enhance business relationships with auto dealers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required and 3 plus years of related experience in business development, automotive industry, or financial consumer products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two to four years of related experience in the auto finance industry as a buyer or dealer representative.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • History of building a sales territory/outside sales experience.
  • Must have strong marketing, sales, and relationship management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and work independently
