The Backend Developer is responsible for supporting the software team bydesigning and developing new scalable and versatile services and APIs fromscratch. The Backend Developer is expected to use agile methodologies andworkflows to iterate on products. The Backend Developer collaborates with theFront End Developer to develop custom software's that are to be used in-house.

Job Requirements:

⿢ Proficient in RESTAPI design and implementation

⿢ Extensive experiencewriting Web APIs in Ruby on Rails or Node.js or Python (Flask, Alembic)

⿢ Knowledge of designpatterns involving APIs that communicate with many backend components.

⿢ Sound understandingof design patterns and using them in multithreaded environment.

⿢ Experience withthird-party API integrations with backend systems

⿢ Working knowledge ofSOCKET.io frameworks from the point of view of backend design.

⿢ Experience withasynchronous design and frameworks.

⿢ Collaborate withFrontend and Backend developers, ensuring compatibility between systems.

⿢ Working knowledge ofMEAN stack.

⿢ Very goodunderstanding of data structures, their usage, and algorithms.

⿢ Working knowledge ofoperating system concepts like IPC, threads, context switching, process, memoryand timer management is expected.

⿢ Demonstrated understandingof object-oriented programming principles

⿢ Drive technicaldesign, specifications, and implementation for our product from an APIsstandpoint.

⿢ An understanding ofthe importance of testing above all when it comes to production-quality code.

⿢ Ensure scalability,performance, and operationalization are always primary concerns duringdevelopment.

⿢ Strong sense ofproject ownership and responsibility.

⿢ Work in a high pace,dynamic, agile development organization.

⿢ Have excellentcommunication skills, are a self-starter and be resourceful.

⿢ Good knowledge ofsource control.

Technical Requirements:

⿢ Bachelor's ormaster's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

⿢ 5+ years' experiencedeveloping backend systems with REST, preferably in Node or Python or Ruby

⿢ Expert in backenddatabase systems, specifically in Microsoft SQL Server.

⿢ Flexible withdifferent frameworks and workflows, with a willingness to learn newtechnologies

⿢ Comfortable andexperienced in Git workflows

Nice to Have:

⿢ Experience in mobiledeployment a major plus

⿢ Experience developingfrontend systems, preferably with Angular, or a desire to eventually become afull-stack developer

⿢ Cluster baseddistributed database systems, their working procedures, switching proceduresrelated knowledge

⿢ A deep understandingof web application scalability/performance issues and experienced in the use ofasynchronous processing and other mitigation practices

⿢ Have experienceworking in a different programming environment, such as Erlang or Go, or adifferent API style such as gRPC or GraphQL.

⿢ Have previousexperience working on a large web application.

⿢ Have the ability towork full stack (from the DB all the way to the Frontend).

⿢ Have contributed to aproduction-grade web application handling high traffic.

⿢ Have experience withNoSQL and/or Key-Value data stores.

⿢ Have experience withmicroservices oriented architectures and authentication/authorizationchallenges.

⿢ Have made open sourcecontributions.
