Staff Auditor

Alan Gray LLC is looking for a Staff Auditor that will be responsible for Accounting & Financial review in support of moderately complex projects, working under general supervision. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and execute multiple projects within required timeframes and expectations. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to perform detail-oriented tasks, interact, coordinate, follow up, create tables, exhibits, narrative reports, and effectively communicate with project Leader, project team members, clients, and subjects of audits/projects. Projects are performed both remotely and with limited auditing performed on site which may require occasional travel.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in multis-scope auditing and assessment projects with primary responsibility for Accounting and Financial analysis project scope.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- 3-5 years' corporate accounting
- P&C Insurance Carrier, Agency, MGA, premium accounting experience is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Excel
- A strong understanding of financial statements and general ledgers, relationships between accounts, and advanced knowledge of accounting & financial analysis principals
Skills:
- Strong analytical and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both internally and externally with clients and subjects of projects.
- Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and meet project deliverables and deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal supervision.
