CLEARED DevOps Engineer - Docker/Kubernetes

Bestgate Engineering is seeking a DevOps Engineer to architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the Tools teams. This role involves automating, scripting, and developing features to bolster the monitoring and reporting activities of the Tools team.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Twenty+ years of experience as a Software or Systems Engineer.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in engineering will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration (file system manipulation, monitoring, logging, troubleshooting; adept with command line tools: ps, netstat, top, SSH, grep)
  • Expertise in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, including the automation and oversight of tools and processes
  • Skilled in Kubernetes with a solid grasp of deployment, management, and configuration
  • Knowledgeable in Docker (deployment, management, and configuration)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in engineering will be considered.
  • Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
Required:
  • Proficiency in cloud computing (AWS)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (bash, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Background in building and managing VMs (preferably with one of the customer’s corporate solutions)
Desired:
  • Hands-on experience with Apache NiFi
  • Proficiency in visualization/reporting tools (Grafana, Kibana, etc.)
  • Acquaintance with Jenkins
  • Ability to harden COTS application configurations
